India’s Private Platform for Trademark Facilitation & Lawyer Coordination
TrademarkCounselIndia.org is a private administrative facilitation and case-management platform. We help individuals, businesses, startups, and MSMEs connect with independent, empanelled trademark Lawyers — making the process of understanding, initiating, and coordinating a trademark matter simpler and more accessible. We are not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. We are a coordination and facilitation platform, and all legal work is carried out exclusively by independent Lawyers in their own professional capacity.
TrademarkCounselIndia.org is owned and operated by a private company. The Platform was built to address a common challenge faced by applicants — understanding how the trademark process works, identifying the right class, gathering the correct documents, and finding a qualified Lawyer to assist with filing — all in one place, without confusion.
We are an administrative facilitation platform, not a law firm and not a government service. Our team consists of administrative coordinators and case-management professionals, not lawyers, advocates, or legal advisers. We do not practice law, render legal opinions, or represent anyone before any authority.
Upon the User’s explicit request and consent, the Platform facilitates administrative coordination between the User and an independent Lawyer empanelled on the Platform. Our role is strictly administrative and includes:
We receive and process the User’s trademark service request, gather preliminary information through our online form, and handle initial queries for administrative clarity.
We identify and coordinate with an independently empanelled Lawyer who is available based on the User’s provided information and requirements, upon the User’s request.
We assist with formatting, arranging, and organising documents submitted by the User for the Lawyer’s review. We do not prepare or draft legal documents or trademark applications.
We provide scheduling assistance, reminders, follow-up support, and communication channels to facilitate coordination between the User and the independent Lawyer.
We provide general, informational guidance on trademark classification to help Users understand the process. This is not professional advice and must be independently verified with the Lawyer.
We provide basic case-management updates and reminders based on information shared by the User or the Lawyer. We do not advise on legal strategy or application outcomes.
To avoid any misunderstanding, the Platform and the Company expressly do not:
Provide legal advice, legal opinions, or professional trademark advice
Prepare, draft, or file trademark applications (TM-A or otherwise)
Represent Users before the Trade Marks Registry, tribunals, or courts
Guarantee trademark registration, availability, or any legal outcome
Collect or process Government / Registry filing fees on behalf of any authority
Issue trademark certificates, filing receipts, or official Registry documents
Conduct trademark searches or render registrability opinions
Handle objection replies, oppositions, hearings, or renewals under the Platform Fee
Our process is straightforward. Here is what happens after you submit a request:
Fill in the information form on the Platform with your trademark details, applicant information, and contact details. This form is an administrative tool only and is not a trademark application or a government filing of any kind.
Pay the Platform Fee of ₹2,250 (or the amount displayed) for administrative facilitation and Lawyer coordination services. This fee is separate from the Lawyer’s professional fee and the Government/Registry filing fee, which are payable separately.
A confirmation email will be dispatched to your registered email address. Dispatch of this email constitutes formal commencement of our administrative facilitation services. Please check your inbox, spam, and promotions folders.
An available independent Lawyer empanelled on the Platform will initiate contact with you using your registered communication details. The Lawyer will advise you on trademark class, documents, application details, and next steps in his/her independent professional capacity.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all application details — including the trademark, applicant name, class(es), and description of goods/services — before authorising the Lawyer to file. No application is filed without your approval.
The independent Lawyer files the trademark application with the Trade Marks Registry in his/her professional capacity. The application number or filing acknowledgement will be shared with you once available.
The Platform connects Users with independent Lawyers who are enrolled with a State Bar Council in India and are qualified to advise on trademark matters. These Lawyers are independent professionals and are not employees, partners, agents, or representatives of the Platform or the Company in any capacity.
The Company does not supervise, direct, or control any Lawyer’s professional conduct, legal strategy, or advice. The Company does not recommend, rank, certify, or guarantee the qualifications or outcomes of any Lawyer. Any professional relationship, including confidentiality and privilege, exists solely between the User and the Lawyer.
